Non-Bookish Things I Liked in September

This month brought lots of goodies. Here are some non-bookish things I liked in September.

SUNDRIES:

Pumpkin spice EVERYTHING.

Read Remark - spooky books to read in OctoberDoes this make me #basic? Probably. But I came to terms with my basicness long ago. So I’ll drink my dang pumpkin-flavored tea and eat my pumpkin muffin while smelling my pumpkin candle and watching It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

ADS:

Renovation – Principal Financial Group

Have you seen that Principal TV ad with the adult son and his elderly father who needs a new home? Father is having a hard time accepting help as he ages. Son remembers the time his father built a treehouse with him. Gets me every time.

PODCAST:

Ghosts in the Burbs – Liz Sauer

When I expressed my love for all things spooky on Instagram, someone told me about Ghosts in the Burbs. It’s just Liz Sauer reading a series of stories about suburban people with supernatural experiences. And it’s extremely compelling.

FOOD:

Macarons!

Seriously, I can’t get enough of those little cookies. I tried macarons for the first time recently and they. Are. So. Good! It just figures that I would fall for such an expensive snack. Cue the eye-rolling emoji.

STREAMING:

The Real Housewives of Dallas – Bravo

Speaking of being basic, I’ve talked before about my somewhat (but not really) shame-filled love of the Real Housewives franchise. I recently binge-watched the entire series of The Real Housewives of Dallas up to now. It may be my favorite one, yet. Wowee.
