Video: 3 Good Books I’m Looking Forward to Reading in 2017

In my latest booktube video, check out (hopefully) 3 good books I’m looking forward to reading in 2017.

They haven’t been published yet, but they will be very soon.

  1. The Sleepwalker by Chris Bohjalian.

This book is coming very soon, set to be available January 10, 2017. The premise: a woman habitually sleepwalks, then one night, sleepwalks right out of of her house. Where did she go? Was there foul play? Sounds like it raises some good questions, and Bohjalian is great at researching his subjects so that by the end of the book, we’ll not only have read a great story, but we’ll also walk away knowing a heck of a lot more about sleepwalking.
  2. The Boy on the Bridge by M.R. Carey.

This will be the prequel to the wonderfully awesome and creepy The Girl with All the Gifts, but can be read independently. MR. Carey tweeted me saying it will involve Rosalind Franklin, the real-life scientist who helped discover the structure of DNA. Perhaps her science will play a part in the story and the DNA of the hungries? I’m excited to see how he weaves it all together when this book is released May 2017.
  3. Into the Water by Paula Hawkins.

A single mom and a teen girl are both found at the bottom of the river. As the town questions what happened, loved ones of the victims deal with the aftermath. Paula Hawkins is the same author who wrote The Girl on the Train, so if this is at all similar, we’ll be treated to deeply flawed protagonists and characters who weren’t who we thought they were. I can’t wait…but I must because this won’t be offered until May 2017.

2017 looks to be a great year for books. I’ll be sure to write reviews of these three once I get my hands on them.
